Last spring, 64 artists walked into The Cockpit with no scripts, no casts, and no idea what they would be performing two days later. By the end of the weekend, they had made 14 new plays. More than 300 people came to watch. Thirty-eight of the artists were new to 14/48.
14/48 London creates radically collaborative theatre festivals that premiere fourteen brand-new plays in forty-eight hours, uniting international and local artists through experimentation, joy, and shared resources. Our festivals build sustainable networks that fuel risk-taking, foster cross-cultural exchange, and open doors for productions that revitalise the future of theatre.
