Theatre Anonymous – Tim callout

Tim in our 2022 production

We’re looking for a Leicestershire based disabled or neurodivergent young person aged 14-18 to join us for Theatre Anonymous: A Christmas Carol on Saturday 16th December in the role of ‘Tim’.

Theatre Anonymous are re-imagining A Christmas Carol, which will be performed at Attenborough Arts on 16th December 2023.

The role on offer is “Tim” (Tiny Tim) and could be played by any gender. Theatre Anonymous have developed this new version in conjunction with disabled artists to breathe new life into the role, brushing away the cobwebs of past perceptions around disability. The role would be unpaid, but we would support the actor in flexibility around rehearsals, and a final film of the production would be produced suitable for show reels etc…

For this very special production, cast rehearse separately in secret. On the day of the performance, the audience arrive in costume as their favourite Christmas Carol Character from any time period. The cast sit within the audience, and then make themselves known as the action of the play unfolds.

This would suit a young person who has good communication skills and confidence, able to learn a handful of lines, and who would love to develop their acting skills.

Contact Bob Christer to express an interest. We’ll process interest on a first come first served basis, and will consult over ensuring access needs are met. bob@1448uk.com
